Childpros Team Members

Kristy Fike
Lead Administrative Assistant

I have been employed with Childpros since: 2001. During this time I have had the opportunity to work in many different departments such as: infant and toddler caregiver, as well as, assisted in planning of the curriculum, field trips, and the food program. In addition, I have also worked in the center's administrative offices.

My educational background: I am a graduate of Holden High School and Delta College where I majored in Computer Literacy and Data. I have also attended and completed classes at Louisiana Technical College needed to achieve my CDA.

Fun facts about me: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, attending church and church related activities, as well as, scrapbooking and shopping.

Jennifer Graves
Administrative Assistant

I have been employed with Childpros since: 2006. I started my employment by working for Wyatt Graves Real Estate, Inc., Wyatt's real estate company and eventually phased into this new position once created.

My Educational Background: I attended Southeastern Louisiana University and LSU and majored in Accounting.

Fun facts about me: Wyatt is my brother-in-law and Bonnie is my mother-in-law, so I actually work for the family business. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Brandon, and our 2 children, Courtney and Larson. They both attend Childpros. We love LSU football and spending time at the beach.

Cane Market Location

Lasonya Figura
Director

I have been employed with Childpros since: 2004. I started as a 2-year-old teacher at the Aspen location. I transferred to the North Corbin location where I became the 3-year old preschool teacher. In 2007, I became the director at the Cane Market location. I really enjoy my job!

My educational background: I earned an Associate Degree in General Studies from SLU. I am currently working towards an Associate Degree at Louisiana Technical College in Early Childhood.

Fun facts about me: I really enjoy hunting, fishing, and sewing in my spare time. I enjoy caring for my chickens, ducks and rabbits. I also enjoy planning special activities with my grandchildren.

North Corbin Location

Melissa Cothern
Director and parent of 2 Childpros students

I have been employed with Childpros since: 2001. I was a teacher Planet Preschool while attending SLU to finish my bachelor's degree. My children were enrolled in Childpros at North Corbin before I joined the team as a Director in November of 2007.

My educational background: Graduated with Honors from SLU with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavioral Science. Over 50 of my hours were in Early Childhood Development and Child Psychology.

Fun facts about me: Nothing is more important to me than my Faith and Family. Our weekends usually revolve around spending the most time we can together and playing outdoors on any given Saturday. We love to be on the water and in the woods!

Walker South Location

Charlene Williams
Director

I have been employed with Childpros since: 2003. I have been a Director since 2004. Before I joined the Childpros' team, I taught first grade for six years and substituted in Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms.

My educational background: I have completed classes to qualify for a Child Development Associate credential. I also have a National Administration Credential. Other certifications and training I have completed are: Medication Administration, CPR and Health & Safety, Food Safety Training, and I am at the Administrative Level III of Pathways. I also have taken several courses in Educational Procedures.
Fun facts about me: I have been married eighteen years and have two boys. My family enjoys the outdoors and our animals. We have “Show” livestock, dogs, a Ferret, a pigeon, and three horses. I am involved in my church and the most important thing in my life is my faith in Jesus Christ.
